AMANDA
Amanda has degrees in zoology and marine biology and a diploma in 3D animation and visual effects. She has several years of experience doing science-related graphic design work as a freelancer and as part of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). She loves editing because it gives her the opportunity to learn about many interesting and exciting topics in science and to help share science with wider audiences. She also loves finding graphic solutions for explaining complex scientific ideas. You can usually find her searching for sun, playing soccer, running or spending time with her family.
MICHI
Michi has a degree in English with a focus on linguistics. She is a licensed teacher with almost ten years of experience teaching English in a variety of schools and institutions, including universities. She has lived and immersed herself in a variety of cultures and languages in Japan, Germany, Thailand, the US, England, and Canada. Her teaching experience and ability to speak multiple languages have given her insight into the aspects of English that non-native speakers find challenging. She finds editing to be a fulfilling way to apply her knowledge. When she isn’t editing, she spends her time baking with her kids and volunteering at a local school.
